It is not work.
This extension work only when... 1) You log in 2) Firefox accept cookie 3) When the time come.
1) You must log in at normal email website. As long as you stay log in, it will work. If you log out, it will log out too.

Both of them must be checked for this extension to work... Or you must add an exception (if you want to restrict the cookie acception).
To add exception, please click Exceptions... On "Address of web site", please add "live.com" and select "Allow" (or "Allow for Session" if you want to automatic log off every time you quit Firefox).
3) This extension is not spyware, so it doesn't monitor your activity. It does not know that you just logging in or what email you have opened and read. It only check and update unread email counter when the timer finish. If you want to test, just right click at the icon and select "Check now".

Display alert is not work.
Only for Mac OS X, you need to install Growl notification system for display alert to work.
Display alert time is too short.
You can adjust time of display alert box by change default setting of Firefox. Four second delay for display alert is the default. You can change the default by type "about:config" in the URL bar and press enter. Then you can change the value of "alerts.totalOpenTime". Normally is 4000 which is 4000 milli-second, you can increase it by yourself.
If you use Mac OS X, you can adjust time by change Growl notification system option.
You should know that this will effect to all add-on that use display alert.

Too much alert. Too much annoy.
There are a lot of options for decreasing the disturb.
1) Alert only when unread increase (newly arrived email).
2) Disable loading icon.
3) Hide status bar icon.
4) Hide toolbar icon.
5) Turn off some alert (blink, display, sound alert).
The most quiet environment is to hide status bar and tool bar. Turn on only display or sound alert.

Questions and Answers
Why did you create this extension?
I created it because there was no extension that did not save password. I hate and feel unsafe when I save password. This extension is for the ones who don't want any security risk.
Why there is no auto log-in?
Congratulation, you live in the country that respect to human right and privacy, but not me and many peoples. Auto log-in means you need to save password somewhere. This feature will never be supported. I don't want to be the cause of the leakage of your password. If you want to auto log-in, please use other extension. I suggest webmail notifier.

Why there is no snippet?
This extension doesn't use username and password, it uses cookie. So, the method to get data is different and it cannot use Feed. These make it very difficult to get email header and sender name especially when you get a lot of email in your inbox and other folders. Remembering the email for compare the next checking is still very ineffective. The only thing that it can do is to count the unread.
Why detection newly arrived email sometime is not really new?
This extension is not spyware so it doesn't know what email you have read. And it cannot remember what is the old or the new one due to technical problem form not using username and password. It uses indirect method to detect the new one by increase unread counter.

Are there any harmful things if I check my email very frequent?
Checking email often than 3 minutes can cause DoS attack (Denial-of-service attack) to Email server. Easier explanation is that the server is over loaded because of too many users. If this happens frequently, my extension will be banned. And If you crack my code to make it super-frequent such as every 5 seconds, Email owner will ban your IP because he think that you are attacking him. Attack like this is illegal in most countries.

Why it is free? Is it free forever? Are you making money from this extension?
It is free because I want to "make the world a better place". It will be free forever except that there is a gun point to my head. And I do not make any money from this extension. Other websites that use my extension to promote their webs or for other proposes, I do not involve and I do not get paid.

Can I donate to you? Can I help you in the other way?
No, I don't want any donation. If you want to donate, just donate to Mozilla instead by clicking here.
The only help that I want is to report the bug and miss spell. Firefox has many language versions and platforms. Email setting can be any languages. Operating systems and softwares are updated frequently. These make me impossible to test my extension to all of environments.
Don't be sad if you cannot help me much, you can still help other non-profit organizations by your computer. I suggest Boinc which use the idle time on your computer for scientific research.
But if you still want to help Mozilla by non-donation method, I suggest Babelzilla which is for volunteers to translate the extension to other languages.
