Why does the video stop for moments?
The computer CPU is too busy drawing a large video window.
There are a few things you can do to make video playback smoother:

Reduce the video player window size, or try setting zoom to 100%.

Reduce the screen resolution to 800 x 600

Try reducing the screen color resolution to 16 BPP.
In the Control Panel select Display , click the Settings tab, and set the color quality to 16 bit. It will help.

How much can I scroll back ?
At any time the last 50 frames can be viewed. While playing a video, a video frame is saved every 0.05 - 0.5 second.

Hints and Tips:
Try using the keyboard; to play-pause the video press: F7, view previous frames: F5, view next frames: F6
